Mobile apps for Android and iOS

The native mdedit.ai mobile apps are companions for reading Markdown and making focused edits on Android and iOS.

Open local files

Use the system file picker or Open with mdedit.ai for .md, .markdown, and plain-text files. Relative images beside a local Markdown file render when the operating system grants access to that folder. External links open in the system browser.

Work with cloud documents

Sign in to browse workspaces and documents. The apps keep protected cached copies for reading and draft recovery. Writable, non-collaborative cloud documents support editing with revision checks; if the server changed, the app preserves the draft instead of overwriting the newer version.

Collaborative documents are currently read-only on mobile. Use the web or desktop app for real-time co-editing.

Import and share

You can import a local Markdown file into your default workspace, share the current .md file through the native share sheet, accept incoming invitations, and manage read or edit access for collaborators.

The mobile apps do not yet include the full desktop publishing, repository, or advanced editor surfaces.
